DBX S combines the best of both worlds – the dynamics of the sports car and the comfort of the flagship of the SUV, the manufacturer’s claim.
British automaker Aston Martin has introduced the new flagship of crossover DBX S – the evolution of the DBX707 crossover with Valhalla Supercar technologies.
The car is equipped with a modern 4-liter V8 Twin-Turbo with a machine, which will now form 727 hp. This is achieved thanks to expanded compressors and enhanced internal structures, as well as thanks to the use of technologies from Valhalla supercar. Acceleration of 100 km/h is only 3.3 seconds, and the maximum speed is 311 km/h. The power is sent through a 9-speed transmission with a wet clutch.
To reduce the weight of the car, Aston Martin engineers introduced a carbon roof, which allowed not only to reduce the mass of 18 kg, but also to reduce the center of gravity.
In the first time, magnesium discs were used in segment cars, reducing unspecified mass by 19 kg. In addition, a polycarbonate grille of the radiator and carbon body elements were used, which further reduced weight.
DBX S also received an updated pneumatic suspension with electronic shock absorbers. The brake system includes carbon-ceramic disks with a diameter of 420 mm in front and 390 mm on the back.
Outside, DBX S is released by a new black railing, processed by bumpers, a more aggressive diffuser and four vertical located peaks of the exhaust system. Aerodynamic elements, as well as special sports liability in the colors of Rosso Corsa Red, trophy silver and podium green, have been added. A proprietary emblem “S” is placed on the wings.
The salon is updated with sports emphasis. The chairs are decorated with a characteristic Christmas tree pattern, and the Aston Martin Emblem is etched on the headrests.
The Aston Martin Premium Audio System with a capacity of 800 W with 14 speakers is standard, but the Bowers & Wilkins audio system with a capacity of 1600 W is also available, created specifically for DBX SC’s acoustic parameters.
