In celebration of International Women’s Day, celebrated this Saturday, 8, check out the exclusive interview with the actress.
1. How do you balance the intense routine of work with the moments of self -care to maintain your physical and emotional health?
“I carry the phrase that the actor is a heart athlete. We need to have the body and mind ready to act. The practice of exercise is very present in my routine and helps me maintain my mental and physical health. This is how I am careful of my physical health, but mainly emotional/mental. Therapy is also great, but I recommend it to everyone to exercise. “
2. Do you believe that preserving your authenticity and personal well-being is essential because it is a public figure?
“We always have to try to keep our heads in place in the midst of daily and career demands. My routine is well pulled and I could say that there is not too long, but I put exercise as one of the priorities, because I believe that one of the ways to take care and preserving me emotionally is knowing and recognizing my physical and mental limits. ”
3. Do you have any specific self -care ritual to connect with yourself and the character?
“I always play a playlist for every character I’m working and listening to while I’m recording my projects, taking a shower and in my daily life to feel the character. By doing this my body begins to connect with the feelings I need to access to the scenes I will record. ”
4. For you, how does the preparation of a new character work?
“What brings me more confidence is the domain of the theme that I will act, I try to study a lot. To do the fourth season of “tuning”, for example, as my character was arrested, I started studying through documentaries and also books, “prisoners” Drauzio Varella“Prisoners that menstruate” from Nana Queiroz, “Flores do Prison” Flávia Ribeiro and “about cases and marriages” Natália Padovani And finally, I was able to visit the Franco da Rocha Provisional Detention Center, where I followed the service of some detainees with the Public Defender’s Office, and the Sant’Ana female penitentiary, I was able to enter some cells, the maternity wing and other spaces. In addition, in the set also had the help of a consultant, Mary Jellothat helped me understand the internal conduct of the female system. ”
5. Talking about tune, how do you evaluate the connection process between “Julia” and “Scheyla”?
“We always lend something from us to the character and also carry something of it inside us. Scheyla is a strong, compassionate woman who believes in her dreams. In these years everyone interpreting her, I often say that she turned my dream into reality as I turned her reality into fiction. We evolved together during the seasons, you know? This was very special, especially with my maturity as an actress and she as a character. I am grateful to “Scheyla” who, through this project, brought more strength to my dream of acting while lending my body and soul to bring life to her. “
