An official of the State Space Agency, who had secret information about internal strategic enterprises, as well as access to secret satellite images, gave the enemy the coordinates of critical objects.
He was detained during a meeting at the Ministry of Strategic Industry of Ukraine. This was reported today, March 8, the SBU press service and the office of the Prosecutor General.
In accordance with the file of the case:
- The Russian FSB recruited this agent in 2024 through his wife, who lives in Rostov-on-Don and collaborates with the invaders;
- He agreed to cooperate with the enemy in exchange for money, and after planning in the summer of 2025, he planned to move to the Russian Federation.
Among the tasks that the FSB put forward in front of the Mole was the collection and transfer of the secret information that he owned from his work duties. In particular, data about:
- The location of MIC objects that produce navigation systems;
- spare points of work of strategic enterprises, military warehouses;
- production of high -ranking means of defeat from Ukraine;
- Satellite images.
According to reports, the Russian intelligence service hoped to use this data for air strikes on strategically important objects of our country, ”says SBU.
It is noted that the Ukrainian intelligence service gradually documented every step of the attacker and its interaction with Russian curators, and also used this “parent” to misinform the enemy to transmit racist information favorable to Ukraine.
The detainee was looking for a mobile phone with anonymous chats in instant messengers and e -mail, which he used to communicate with FSB. The agent was informed of suspicion in the framework of the second part of art. 111 of the Criminal Code (state betrayal committed in martial law).
The issue of choosing preliminary detention is being resolved. The attacker is threatened by a lifelong opinion with the confiscation of property, ”said SBU.
