Wildfires in California are threatening Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Montecito estate, where a red alert has been declared.
Wildfires continue to rage in California, threatening Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s mansion in the beautiful Montecito area.
The fire is fast approaching the $29 million mansion, which could force the royal family out of their home, the Daily Mail reports.
The area is now under a red alert due to strong Santa Ana winds, known as “devil winds.” They greatly increase the risk of fire spreading to the Sussex estate, where the couple live with their two children.
The luxury home they bought for $14 million is now worth more than double that price. The mansion combines Victorian and modern elements and has nine bedrooms, a home cinema, gym, games room, wine cellar and library. The territory also has a tea house, a chicken coop, a guest house, a luxurious garden with a rose garden, a swimming pool and a sauna.
The home once served as a refuge for friends and family during a natural disaster, but now the family itself may have to evacuate. The situation remains tense and the fire continues to spread.
It was previously reported that Jennifer Garner reported the loss of a close friend who did not leave in time.
