Mikhail Poplavsky reports on the anniversary of the song and tells how video clips have been made for it over the years.
Mikhail Poplavsky’s song Salo is 20 years old. He announced it on his page on the social network Instagram and narrated what happened.
“20 years ago, my team and I created a song that became legendary and topped all music platforms in the country. Ukrainian brand, our national currency, it gives sexual energy, supports strength and spirit of Ukrainians! – he wrote.
According to Poplavsky, the first version of the video for this song was created in 2004, and the plot was based on Nikolai Gogol’s story The Night Before Christmas.
In 2010, the following video was created for the song Salo – based on the musical Sorochinskaya Fair.
And in 2021, the SALO video clip was released, created in Hollywood style using 3D-XR technologies, which, according to Poplavsky, “amazed even the harshest critics.”
“The song spread all over the world, becoming a symbol of Ukraine for many countries is a phenomenon that unites Ukrainians all over the world!” – summed up the singing rector.
