Accused of killing the CEO of an insurance company, Luis Magione was sent to the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center, where Diddy is held.
Luis Mangione, accused of murder Brian ThompsonCEO of UnitedHealthcare, will be held in the same facility where rapper Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is being held. According to CNN, the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, has been housing the entertainment mogul since September and will now also be the place of Mangione’s incarceration.
Mangione26 years old, is accused of killingThompson in daylight in New York, on December 4th. In addition to the murder charge, the young man faces other federal charges, including stalking followed by murder.
In turn, Combs55, has been in prison since September 16, facing serious charges including sex trafficking, extortion and transportation for sexual exploitation, following a federal investigation that lasted months.
Although it is unclear whether the two inmates will meet inside the complex, Page Six sources indicate that the possibility exists, as the prison is the only federal prison in New York close to the Manhattan federal courthouse.
Problematic location
Described as “hell on Earth” by a lawyer who has represented cases involving the facility, the Metropolitan Detention Center faces a series of structural and security problems.
Since its opening in 1994, the unit, which currently houses around 1,200 inmates, has been the scene of incidents such as violent fights, inmate deaths, food contamination and neglect.
