Student and model from Kyiv Maria Melnichenko received the title of Miss Ukraine 2024 and will represent the country at Miss World 2024.
The title of Miss Ukraine 2024 was received by 20-year-old Maria Melnichenko, a student and model from Kyiv.
The girl won based on the results of the voting on the official website of the competition and the evaluations of the jury. Maria will represent Ukraine at the Miss World 2024 competition, which will take place next year.
“My heart is full of emotions: pride, gratitude and trembling joy for the future. This title for me is not only about beauty, but about the opportunity to talk about my country, tell the world about strength and indestructibility from the very beginning. New challenges and missions to represent Ukraine on the world stage, I promise to continue to work to justify your trust,” the winner wrote on his Instagram page.
Maria is a 4th year student at the State Tax University in Irpen, where she studies finance, banking and insurance. He actively participates in sports: he skis and snowboards professionally, has ten years of experience in ballroom dancing, plays tennis and maintains his physical fitness with regular training. In addition, Melnichenko takes part in charitable initiatives and helps with military training.
The National Committee also announced the names of other competition winners. The first vice-Miss Ukraine 2024 is 24-year-old Irina Makarova from the Kyiv region, and the second vice-Miss Ukraine is 21-year-old Victoria Gudym from the Lviv region.
It was previously reported that the finals of the 73rd international beauty contest Miss Universe 2024 in Mexico have ended. The winner was the representative of Denmark, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig.
