Last Thursday, the 14th, one of the most prestigious events in Latin music took place and several Brazilians walked away with prizes
On the night of Thursday, November 14, Miami hosted the 25th edition of the Latin Grammy Awards, one of the most prestigious events on the international music scene. This ceremony stands out for having several exclusive categories for Brazilian artists, although in general competitions only Anita and Xande de Pilares have represented Brazil.
Anita was in contention for Record of the Year with his single “Mil Veces”, while Xande de Pilares competed for the coveted Album of the Year award with “Xande Canta Caetano”. However, both artists left without trophies in these categories.
One of the moving moments of the night was the tribute to the singer Lulu Santos, who received the recognition award for lifetime achievement. This award celebrates the significant contributions of Lulu to Latin music throughout his career.
On your social networks, Lulu expressed his gratitude stating that it was a great pleasure to share such special experiences and learn more about the trajectory of other talents in Latin music. Among the Brazilians previously honored with this honor are iconic names such as Rita Lee, Erasmo Carlos, Milton Nascimento and Simone.
