American actor James Van Der Beek, best known for his role as Dawson Leary in the TV series Dawson’s Creek, has spoken about his struggle with cancer.
In a new interview with People, she admitted that she was diagnosed with colorectal cancer and is currently undergoing treatment. The actor shared that the support of his family – his wife and six children – is helping him on the road to recovery.
“I have colorectal cancer. I didn’t disclose it before. I just took steps to overcome it with the support of my incredible family,” James said.
Despite the serious diagnosis, Van Der Beek remains optimistic and continues to work in the film industry, assuring his fans that he feels fine. “But there is reason for joy – I feel good,” added the actor, expressing gratitude for the support and hope for recovery.
