The young man disappeared in early March, when the Kyiv region was partially occupied.
Ukrainian TV presenter Katya Osadchaya, who has helped Ukrainians find their missing relatives since the start of the full-scale war, recounted the rescue of a Ukrainian brought by the Russian Federation with severe wounds. He announced this on the national marathon United News.
In particular, the journalist shared the story of the search for 29-year-old Vladislav Popovich, who disappeared in early March. According to him, the car in which the Ukrainian was staying was burned from the occupiers, as a result of which he received serious leg injuries.
Osadchaya added that a few days later, residents saw him on the streets with a wound, he always asked where Blistavitsa was. After that, there was no information about Vladislav’s whereabouts.
A few hours later, Vladislav’s mother Tatyana, however, received news about her son.
“A male voice called me and asked if I was looking for Vladislav. I confirmed that it was my son and I heard these words:” I was sitting with your son in the city of Kursk in the first pre-trial detention center. “At that moment I didn’t know that my son was alive or gone, but at that very moment I felt that he was born again. I never thought I would be so happy that my son was in captivity. Of course, after a few minutes I thought about everything again, I realized that there could have been torture and intimidation, but he was still alive and this was the most important thing, ”Vladislav’s mother said.
Subsequently, the information that Vladislav was in Russian captivity was confirmed by both the Red Cross Committee in Ukraine and the SBU.
Osadchaya had earlier reportedly reacted to the Russian military’s killing of a six-year-old girl.
A sculpture dedicated to Ukrainian mothers was installed in Prague.
