In the context of port blockage and total destruction in some regions, the Ministry of Infrastructure is rebuilding logistics routes.

During the war, the Ministry of Infrastructure focused on so -called “survival” projects that would help in victory. Alexander Kubrakov, head of the department, spoke about it at the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Lugano, Switzerland.

“Now our top priority is projects that will literally help to survive and win. In the past three months, we have opened traffic at 43 temporary crossings, resumed traffic at 13 bridges and railway crossings, cleared more than a thousand kilometers of roads, ”he said.

For now, the ministry’s priorities are the restoration of the infrastructure necessary for the communication of cities and villages, as well as the reorientation of logistics operations in conditions of war. But the state does not have enough funding for it.

“Now our budget is almost 100% directed at military needs and social benefits. And every month we have a deficit of $ 5 billion … We need financial support for the implementation of exactly such priority, urgent projects. will help to attract them, and be a springboard for long -term systematic work with friendly countries and investors, “said Kubrakov.

He added that in conditions of war and blockade of ports, it is important to reorient logistics to land and river ports. According to him, four were able to increase by almost four times the transportation of cargo at Danube ports and increase by 2.6 times the transportation of cargo at checkpoints on the road.

The Ministry of Infrastructure expects to increase export capacity by 50% in the next few months by expanding infrastructure on its western border.
