At a performance in Serbia, the artist angered Ukrainian fans by talking about plans to tour Russia after the war, calling them “problems.”
American actor and singer Jared Leto, who performs with the band Thirty Seconds to Mars in Serbia, has sparked outrage over his comments about Russia and the war in Ukraine.
During the concert, he noted that he was experiencing “a lot of Russian energy” in the hall and announced plans to return to Russia with concerts after the end of the “problems.”
The artist said he wanted to go to Moscow and St. Petersburg, adding that he also plans to perform in Kyiv. Russians present at the concert responded with approval to Leto’s words, thanking him with a standing ovation, to which the musician replied in Russian “thank you.”
However, such statements caused outrage among Ukrainian fans. They expressed dissatisfaction on social networks, although it is not known whether this will lead to a complete abandonment of the artist.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine responded to the artist’s statement. In particular, they noted that his “sense of Russian energy” is “an insult to those who give their lives to defend freedom.”
The department also added that there may be no “relief for Russia” as it continues its attempts to resolve “the problem of Ukraine’s very existence.”

There may be no appeasement for Russia as it continues its attempts to solve the “problem” of Ukraine’s very existence.
