Janice Smalls Combs has spoken publicly for the first time in defense of her daughter, calling the accusations against P. Diddy false and a public lynching.
The mother of American rapper and producer P. Diddy, Janice Smalls Combs, made her first public statement since her son’s arrest.
He expressed his outrage at the serious allegations of violence and sex trafficking he is facing. In her appeal, quoted by the Daily Mail, Janice insisted the accusations were false. He admits that his son is not innocent, but he is firmly convinced that he did not commit the crimes he is suspected of.
“I am writing to you as a mother who is devastated and deeply troubled by the allegations made against my son. It is heartbreaking to see my son convicted not for the truth, but for a narrative made up of lies. To witness what appeared to be a public lynching of my son, before he had a chance to prove his innocence, was a pain beyond words.
Combs also said the allegations stemmed from an affair with P. Diddy’s ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura. According to him, the new accusations are only trying to benefit financially. He also emphasized that his son was not given a chance to defend himself and he hopes to be acquitted and set free.
“It is truly painful to watch the world so quickly and easily turn its back on my son because of lies and delusions without even hearing his side or giving him a chance to show it. My son is not the monster he made out to be. I can only pray “that I live to see him speak his truth and be exonerated,” the woman added.
It was previously reported that on Monday, September 16, federal agents arrested rapper Sean Diddy Combs in New York.
120 additional charges filed against P. Diddy
