Nanda Costa explains why he left soap operas

Nanda Costahad many successes in soap operas, such as one of her biggest successes, she was the protagonist in the soap opera “Salve Jorge”, where she played Morena, a woman who was trafficked to Turkey, upon receiving a job opportunity.

However, after many successes, she has been away from the small screen for five years and intends to stay away for at least 7 years. The reason for all this is to dedicate time to your daughters twins, Tiê and Kim, who are about to turn three years old

In an interview with podcast “A Thousand and One Bullshits” from the Julia Faria and Thaila Ayala. Nanda opened up about the reasons that led her to change her career focus, in addition to moving to Salvador.

Change of city

In the podcast, she mentions that her and her partner’s idea Lan Lanhthis change was only made after retirement, but when the twins were born it didn’t make sense to continue on the São Paulo-Rio de Janeiro route.

“When we chose Rio it was because it was the best place for work and then after the girls arrived we changed everything. Until Maria Bethânia He said ‘Are you really going to live in Salvador? What courage’. I think it requires courage because it changes completely, you leave the axis of work” — comments the actress.

The daughters

To make better use of her daughters’ time and childhood, where she herself says that it is the time to form the child’s character, personality, feeling the need to take this break in her career to dedicate herself to this important moment for her daughters. Furthermore, the period of each soap opera is very long, and depending on the size of the role, it would be more complicated to give the family the attention it deserves.

“A soap opera is a year of working and coming home at 10 o’clock at night and having to memorize the text in the morning and leave home at 10 o’clock in the morning to record. I saw many reports from companions who said ‘Man, I didn’t see my son walk, I didn’t see my son start talking because I was recording, because I wasn’t present”.

Finally, she concludes how incredible it is to follow her daughters’ lives up close and the remarkable moments she is experiencing with her family.

“I take it to school every day, we pick it up at school. If we have a job, we alternate, but this way they are the priority. We organize our routine and then we organize their routine.”
