The actor and singer Kris Kristofferson passed away at the age of 88 at his home last Saturday, the 28th. Confirmation of his death was announced by family members through the artist’s social networks on Sunday, the 29th.

Kristofferson built a solid career in music, releasing more than 20 albums throughout his life. Between 1985 and 1995, he was part of the group Highwaymen, alongside country music icons Waylon Jennings,Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash. The group released three albums and achieved major success with the single “Highwayman”.
Award-winning career
In addition to his contributions as an interpreter, Kristofferson stood out as a composer. In 1984, he received an Oscar nomination for “Best Original Song” for “Writing Songs”. In 1985, his talent was recognized with his inclusion on the Composers’ Walk of Fame, according to CNN Brasil.
In the cinema, Kris Kristofferson also left its mark. His performance in “A Star Is Born” (1976) earned him a Golden Globe in the “Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical” category. Other notable roles include appearances in the “Blade” trilogy (1998-2004), “Train” (1998), “Heaven’s Gate” (1980) and “Planet of the Apes” (2001).
He leaves eight children: two from his first marriage, one from his second and five from his third.
