Brazilian artists joined a team of stars in a chic fashion show at the Opéra Garnier; check it out!
Taís Araujo and Larissa Manoela join forces with Kendall Jenner, Jane Fonda, Viola Davis and other big names at Paris Fashion Week, which has official start last Monday, 23rd.
They shone on the catwalk at Lé Défilé, organized by L’Oreal Paris, which took place at the Opera Garnier. The event paid tribute to global ambassadors of the brand and was broadcast live on MTV and the brand’s YouTube channel.
Among the 60 celebrities who walked the runway were Cara Delevingne, Helen Mirren and Yseult.
This is the second consecutive year that Brazilian women have participated in the event. In 2023, they performed under the Eiffel Tower, and Thais, who has been the brand’s representative for over 15 years, had a prominent role in opening one of the show’s segments. The video of her showing her hair became a phenomenon on social media, reaching millions of views.
‘Unique sensation’
I’m very excited, it’s a unique feeling. I started as a model when I was four years old and I went on to other places — music, cinema, theater, books… Now to be back on the catwalk, in Paris, with all this power, is priceless,” she said. Larissa just before the fashion show for Quem magazine.
“I’m excited! This year is very different, on the street, so I’m excited. I’m not going to say that I don’t prepare, because there are dress rehearsals, hair rehearsals, all that preparation. But I let the emotion of the moment take over. Last year I had a surge of positivity and this year I hope for the same,” she celebrated. Such also for the portal.
When I was a model, I couldn’t walk the runway because I’m only 5’3″. It’s funny, when I was 13 they told me I couldn’t walk the runway and now, at 45, I’m walking at Paris Fashion Week. It makes me think. Sometimes people say ‘no, you can’t, this isn’t for you’ and maybe those people are wrong,” she emphasized.
