Israel Defense Forces killed Ibrahim Qubaisi, commander of Hezbollah missile forces, during an airstrike in southern Beirut. This was reported by The Times of Israel in connection with the Israeli military.
The IDF also said other top commanders of Hezbollah’s rocket forces were nearby at the time of the Qubaisa strike.
Qubaisi joined Hezbollah in the 1980s and held several key positions. At the time of his elimination, several Hezbollah formations armed with missiles and rockets, including a unit with precision-guided missiles, were under him.
According to media reports, the strike in Beirut led to the death of six people and wounding of 15.

The airstrikes carried out by the Israeli Air Force against the Hezbollah group in the past day have been the most intensive operation of this type of troops in the entire history of its existence.
The Israeli air force has carried out strikes on more than 1,600 Hezbollah-linked targets, mostly buildings where weapons are stored. The planes attacked targets in southern Lebanon and the Bekaa Valley.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, 558 people died as a result of the Israeli attacks, and about 1.8 thousand were injured.
It was previously reported that the Israeli military may have killed a senior member of the Hezbollah command in airstrikes outside Beirut.
