Actor Tyrese Gibson, best known for his role as Roman Pearce in the Fast and Furious franchise, was arrested in Atlanta for failing to pay child support.
Fast and Furious star Tyrese Gibson was arrested in Atlanta for failing to pay child support for his son with ex-wife Samantha Lee. This was reported by The Hollywood Reporter.
The judge ordered the actor to pay more than $73,000 to stay out of jail because Gibson only sent $2,200 a month instead of $10,690.
The actor claims that Judge Kevin Farmer, who made this decision, has personal connections with his ex-husband’s lawyers, and has announced his intention to appeal all of his decisions.
“We are appealing all his decisions. We have tried twice to remove this judge from his post. It is clear that they hate me, but I must remind you of my life and success. I worked on myself since I was 14 to come here,” the star noted.
Gibson was given 48 hours to pay $73,525.73 to be released from custody. In addition, $7,500 of this amount shall cover legal fees paid by Samantha Lee.
It was previously reported that Al Pacino and producer Noor Alfallah have reached an agreement on child support for their son Roman.
