British singer Elton John partially lost his sight due to an eye infection. He announced this on his Instagram page.
The 77-year-old singer did not reveal the name of the infection, but said his rehabilitation is progressing slowly.
The celebrity noted that he was not hospitalized, and all rehabilitation took place at home. He thanked the doctors, nurses and family members for helping him recover.
“In the summer I faced a severe eye infection which unfortunately left me with limited vision in only one eye. I am recovering but it is a very slow process. It will take some time before sight may return to the affected eye. I am grateful to the wonderful team of doctors and nurses and my family who have taken care of me these past few weeks,” Elton John wrote.
