Influencer highlighted the emotional challenges and asked for her vulnerability to be seen as part of queer reality
LGBTQIA+ icon of the moment Maya Massafera shared an emotional video, reflecting on the challenge of dealing with the changes that come with transition. “I finished my first year of hormones, and my doctor says it takes two years for the hormones to stabilize in the body,” she said.
In her outburst, Maya highlighted the complexity of her emotions, comparing the experience to a combination of “menopause, PMS and pregnancy.”
She asked her followers not to see her as a “poor thing” for being vulnerable, stating that her life will be guided by strength, but that it is important to show the reality of these moments that are so common for the LGBT+ community.
