Loboda explained why he sang in Russian during the war

Singer Svetlana Loboda (LOBODA) will not translate her hits into Ukrainian and will not refuse Russian-language songs. He said this in an interview with Focus magazine.

According to the singer, he left everything at the peak of his popularity in Russia because he could not do otherwise, because his conscience would torment him. At the same time, Loboda does not associate his civic position with the language issue.

“Do you remember in all 20 years of my creative career a time when I was criticized by many journalists and bloggers who had answers to many questions for me, but no one had yet found an answer to the main thing: why I ? immediately leave everything at the top of my career in Russia , stop, quit and leave for the first time You saw that my colleagues from Ukraine, who built a less successful career, stayed there and quietly worked , even if they get worse – both creatively. And spiritually, this is what I fear most – the destruction of morality, as well as the torment of conscience, which, I am sure, will destroy me issue in previous interviews, I did not promise that I will give up on them.

Loboda also added that he often visits Ukraine, as his team is based here. Recently, the singer also traveled to the Kharkov region to meet with the military.
