The average selling rate of the dollar increased by 10 kopecks to UAH 41.55, and the euro exchange rate immediately jumped by 25 kopecks to UAH 45.85.
The exchange rate of the hryvnia accelerated its decline against the dollar and the euro at exchange offices. RBC-Ukraine reported this in connection with market monitoring data on Tuesday, August 20.
So, the average dollar selling rate increased by 10 kopecks to UAH 41.55, and the euro exchange rate immediately jumped by 25 kopecks to UAH 45.85.
Today, exchange offices bought dollars on average for 41.05 UAH, and euros for 45.15 UAH.
In the interbank market, the American currency is at the level of 41.41-41.44 UAH/dollar (buying and selling) – 1 kopeck higher compared to the previous day’s close.
Yesterday, the National Bank increased the dollar exchange rate against the hryvnia for the second day in a row – 41.3027 UAH (+0.0917 UAH). The euro exchange rate is 45.6085 UAH (+0.3094 UAH). This is a historical maximum.
Remind us that in July, Ukrainians bought a record amount of cash currency for 12 years – $2.775 billion. Net purchases were $1.117 billion.
