Banksy has confirmed authorship of the piranhas painted on a glass police box in the City of London.
Street artist Banksy has created a new piece in the City of London, his seventh in the past week. The BBC reported it.
Banksy has confirmed the authorship of the piranhas painted on a police box in the City, which were spotted by passers-by on the morning of August 11th. The artist posted a photo of the work on his Instagram, admitting that it was his work.
The booth, converted into an aquarium, is located near St. Paul’s Cathedral. After Banksy’s drawing was discovered, people began to gather around him wanting to take pictures. Subsequently, the booth was closed with a temporary fence to restrict access.
“Work is underway to determine how this work of art can be preserved,” a City of London spokesman said.
This work differs from the previous ones because it is created on glass with translucent spray paint, while Banksy usually paints on walls with opaque paints.

It was previously reported that in the British town of Herne Bay, street artist Banksy’s graffiti was destroyed during the demolition of an old building.
