The Duchess of Sussex has admitted that suicidal thoughts arose because of cyberbullying during her stay with the royal family.
Meghan Markle has admitted that she had suicidal thoughts during her time in the royal family.
In an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, she said she was a victim of online bullying, which sometimes overwhelmed her to the point of suicide.
“When you’re going through pain or trauma at any level, I believe that part of our journey to healing – and certainly part of mine – is being really open about it. I really described my experience, but I didn’t “I would never want someone else to feel the same way, for someone else to make those plans,” shared the duchess.
Meghan emphasized that her story aims to help those facing similar challenges. “If my experience can save someone or encourage people to pay attention to the emotions and state of loved ones, and not assume that everything is fine, then it is worth it.
That is why, according to Markle, she and her husband, Prince Harry, decided to establish The Parents Network to counter the negative phenomena in social networks.
“We see what’s happening online and know there’s still a lot of work to be done. We’re just happy we can be part of the change for good,” Megan concluded.
