Actress Daisy Ridley, best known for her role as Rey in the Star Wars franchise, has spoken out about her diagnosis of a rare disease.
According to Variety, he was diagnosed with Graves’ disease or Graves’ disease, which is an immune system disorder that causes an overproduction of thyroid hormones. Symptoms include chills, sensitivity to heat, weight loss and skin irritation.
After filming Sam Yates’ thriller Magpie, Ridley began to suffer from rapid heart rate, rapid weight loss, fatigue and shaky hands. “I thought, ‘Well, I just played a really stressful role, that’s probably why I’m not feeling well,'” Ridley said.
