On the night of today, August 8, Russian invaders carried out another air attack on Ukraine.
The Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Nikolai Oleshchuk, reported this on his Telegram channel.
The enemy attacked:
- two Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched at the Kharkov region from the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation;
- two guided Kh-59 air-launched missiles from the airspace over the waters of the Sea of Azov;
- four Shahed-type attack UAVs in the direction of Yeysk (Krasnodar Krai, Russian Federation).
As a result of the anti-aircraft battle, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, anti-aircraft missile forces and air defense units of the Air Force shot down two Kh-59 guided air missiles and four attack UAVs in the Odessa, Kherson and Kirovograd regions, Oleshchuk noted.
