American actor Tom Hanks’ Los Angeles home was robbed in broad daylight, TMZ reports.
The intruders entered the estate through a broken window. Although the alarm went off, it did not stop the thieves. Fortunately, they only managed to clean the couple’s guest house and never made it to the main house.
It is not yet known what exactly was lost and how big Hanks’ losses were. The actor and his wife have not yet thoroughly checked their belongings. Police have not made any arrests but the investigation is ongoing. Law enforcement officials believe it was the work of one of the local gangs that operate in the area.
Tom Hanks and his wife were not at home during the incident, but were spending time outside the city, so they were not the targets of the attackers.
