Event in Vila Velha brings together attractions from all regions of Brazil from August 16 to 18
The festival, which has established itself as the largest integrated arts event in Espírito Santo, aims to bring the public closer to the themes of diversity, creativity and sustainability. “Movimento Cidade represents the public’s desire for a plural festival that unites art, music, cinema and urban battles in an inclusive and free way”, highlights Luísa Costa, Managing Partner of the event.
MC.Lab’s workshops, which precede the festival, include the School of Cultural Production, School of Urban Dances – Ballroom Immersion and the School of Video Art, addressing themes such as Ballroom culture, history and black, Latin and LGBT+ culture in the periphery, in addition to exploring new perceptions about everyday borders.
“In 2024, the festival aims to rediscover the cultures that make up Brazil beyond the Southeast, creating a space for fantasy, creativity and diversity”, say Luísa Costa and Leonardo Alves, responsible for the conception and general direction of the project.
