The winner, Alma Cooper, will represent the United States at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant in November.
Alma Cooper, a US Army officer from Michigan, was crowned Miss USA. CNN reported it.
Alma came first among 50 participants in the fashion show in swimsuits and evening dresses, as well as during the intellectual competition. He holds a Master of Science in Data Science from Stanford University.
“As the daughter of a migrant worker, a proud Afro-Latina, and a US Army officer, I am living the American dream. If my life and my mother have taught me anything, it is that circumstances are never determine your destiny: you can make success accessible, excellence demanded,” he told the judges during a question-and-answer session.
Alma’s crown was worn by Miss USA 2023 Savannah Gankiewicz following the retirement of Noelia Voigt from Utah.
Alma Cooper, 22, has a Master of Science degree from Stanford University and also graduated with honors from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics. Its main objective is to make quality food available to everyone in the country.
