Angelina Jolie once hired a hitman to arrange her own murder because she was going through a difficult time in her life. The Daily Mail reported this.
The Oscar-winning actress first revealed in 2001 that she had spoken to the hitman during a “pretty dark” time in her life, when she was 22. She explained that she would rather kill than commit suicide, because it would be easier for her loved ones to survive such death.
In an interview with The Face in 2003, Jolie shared details about the search for the killer: “They’re not that hard to find in New York. As crazy as it sounds, I think a lot of people think about suicide when they is ‘ still young.”
Jolie said she planned to “send the killer money in cash over a period of time so as not to have a large amount showing up in the bank account.” However, the killer surprised him with his answer: “He was a fairly decent person and asked if I should reconsider this decision, and asked me to call him in two months. Something changed in my life then, and I decided I could stand it.”
