John Lennon was killed on December 8, 1980 in New York. The musician was shot five times in the back.

Late Beatles member John Lennon’s glasses are to be auctioned in the UK. The BBC reported it.

The accessory, given by Lennon to a man visiting Abbey Road Studios, will be auctioned on July 31 in Surrey. The glasses are expected to sell for around £3,000.

Also for sale is a collection of photographs taken at famous recording studios. Among them are photos taken on the day of the photo shoot for The Beatles album cover, where the group crosses a pedestrian crossing.

Pictures with Paul McCartney, George Harrison, George Martin and Ringo Starr can fetch £200-300.

It was previously reported that a dinosaur skeleton was sold at a Sotheby’s auction in New York for $44.6 million (£34 million).
