On July 16, Madonna posted a series of photos on Instagram, including one in which she appears with a typewriter and a script titled “Who’s That Girl.” The title references the singer’s 1987 film and song.
Although the script text was blurred, there were circles and notes visible, suggesting edits had already been made. “I need a lot of Bandz to do this………..OK 🍸💵🤑,” Madonna captioned the post. “Story of my life.”
Despite speculation, Madonna has yet to officially confirm whether the biopic will be made. In January 2023, Variety reported that the project, which was set to be directed by Madonna and star Julia Garner, had been put on hold.
