The Public Defender’s Office of the State of Amazonas (DPE-AM) carried out, on Tuesday (16), a service drive aimed at the LGBTQIAPN+ population. With the support of the Higher School of the Public Defender’s Office of the State of Amazonas (Esudpam), the action took place at Casa Miga – LGBTQIAPN+ Reception, located at Rua Silva Ramos, 839, Centro, South-Central Zone of Manaus.
Elânia highlighted the DPE’s mission regarding LGBTQIAPN+ issues. “These days, there are several violations of rights related to the LGBTIAPN+ population, such as homophobia and transphobia. The Public Defender’s Office is present in this action, which is one of several designed in favor of diversity,” said the defender. She reinforced the importance of the Public Defender’s Office promoting Human Rights, following the constitution to build a society without prejudice.

With the same goal, Bruna Cabral, 34, was also helped. “I’ve wanted it for a long time. Here, it was wonderful and everything was perfect. Very good for me and for other people who are also succeeding,” celebrated Bruna.
