Research assesses inclusion and diversity in 124 Brazilian companies

HRC Equidade BR lists the best companies for LGBTQIA+ professionals to work for in 2024

For LGBTQIA+ professionals looking for safe and fair companies, and for organizations looking for diversity benchmarking, the HRC Equidade BR survey offers an essential reference. Conducted by the American foundation Human Rights Campaign in partnership with Instituto +Diversidade, the 2024 edition evaluated 124 companies.

Companies that achieved the maximum score of 79 points received a certification seal, useful in recruitment, marketing and communication efforts. Inspired by the US Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the HRC Equidade BR survey examines five pillars:

Adoption of non-discrimination policies.

Creation of respectful spaces.

Creating employee resource groups or diversity and inclusion councils.

Providing training and education on the topic for all hierarchical levels.

Participation in public activities to support the inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ community.

2024 edition evaluated 124 companies.
“It is the leading research-based benchmarking tool that assesses LGBTQIA+ workplace equality and inclusion among employers in Brazil,” says RaShawn Hawkins, senior director of HRC’s Workplace Equality Program.
