In “While You Were Flying, I Took Roots”, no words are spoken. The dramaturgy is driven by bodies in dialogue with the visual arts, cinema, dance and theater. The play explores multiple languages and meanings, which are presented to the audience in different layers.
The show, by the Dos à Deux company, received several important awards, including the APTR Award for Best Show, Best Original Music and Best Set Design, as well as the Shell Award for Best Set Design. It was also nominated for the APCA Award and the Cesgranrio Award in categories such as Best Show, Set Design, Lighting, Music and Direction.
