Aline Ferreira is survived by her husband, whom she married in 2021, and two children.
Brazilian blogger Aline Ferreira has died after unsuccessful buttock augmentation surgery. According to Correo Brazilenze, the cause of death was infection due to the use of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA, organic glass).
Ferreira chose the Ame-se clinic in Goiânia for the procedure. After the surgery, he went home and started complaining of high fever and abdominal pain. His wife turned to doctor Graziella Barbosa, who assured her that this was a typical reaction and nothing bad would happen. However, the blogger’s condition quickly worsened, and he was hospitalized in a local hospital, where he fell into a coma.
Ferreira suffered cardiac arrest twice: the first on Friday, June 28, and the second on Sunday, June 30. The heart finally stopped on the night of Tuesday, July 2.
After his death, it emerged that the clinic did not have a medical license to perform such procedures and was not registered with the Regional Council of Biomedicine of Goiás. Doctor Barbosa was arrested the next day.
The procedure involves the use of PMMA, an injectable gel that Brazil’s National Health Surveillance Agency recommends should only be used in cases of body deformities caused by chronic diseases, such as polio.
Earlier it was reported that the singer Slava Kaminskaya, who recently announced that she underwent plastic surgery, said why she decided to go under the surgeon’s knife.
