Serhiy Zhadan received the title of honorary professor at the Ukrainian University in Munich, becoming the first person to receive this title for his significant contribution to the development of Ukrainian literature and culture.
Ukrainian musician and writer, and now a military man, Sergei Zhadan received the title of honorary professor of philosophy at the Ukrainian Free University in Munich. He announced this on his Instagram page.
“Received the title of honorary Doctor of Philosophy from the Ukrainian Free University. Really grateful to USU – this is a great honor and responsibility to all who maintain national education.
It was noted that Zhadan received the title for his contribution to the development of Ukrainian culture and literature, his humanitarian activity and “for reporting evidence of the terrible war in Ukraine and for his willingness to fight for in freedom and peace.”
The Ukrainian Free University (USU) is a private university in Ukraine located in Munich (Germany). It was the first higher education institution created by Ukrainians in exile.
