According to Tatyana, the scammers created a clone of the monobank chatbot and communicated with it on behalf of a “bank employee”. The journalist, who knew about the latest receipts to the bank for a collection for a Mavic 3-T quadcopter, opened it in May for her husband’s unit, who serves in the Airborne Division.
In May, according to her, an exact copy of the Monobank chatbot was created, in which she communicated about the status of her accounts and even received consultations.
And on July 1, Tatyana received a message in this chatbot that her account would be blocked due to excessive activity and non-targeted funds transfer. Since the “bank employee” did not ask anything suspicious (for example, her card details), but told her the transaction amounts and the names of the people who sent the funds, the journalist did not have any suspicions.
And when she withdrew money from the bank to her card, all the funds disappeared from it.
