Free show addresses homophobia in Porto Velho

With dramaturgy by Leonardo Netto and direction by Dadado de Freitas, the play will be shown on July 3rd and 4th at Teatro Guaporé

The Ministry of Culture presents “3 Ways to Touch the Subject”, a show that explores homophobia in modern society. The play comes to Porto Velho for two free performances on July 3 and 4, with tickets available in advance at linktr.ee/3maneirasteatro or at the theater box office one hour before each session.

Since its premiere in 2019, the play has been seen by more than 20 thousand spectators. In Porto Velho, the performances will take place at Teatro Guaporé (R. Tabajara, 148 – Olaria), at 8 pm, with accessibility for people with disabilities.

This is the final stage of an unprecedented circuit that has visited 18 cities in the North and Northeast regions. All presentations have sign language interpreters, audio description, monitoring for people with intellectual disabilities and adapted locations with ramps, handrails and accessible bathrooms, as well as reserved spaces in the audience for people with reduced mobility.

“3 Ways to Touch on the Subject” is composed of three solos written and performed by Leonardo Netto. The play addresses homosexuality and the prejudice faced by the LGBTQI+ community. The texts engage directly with the audience, questioning the discomfort and prejudice rooted in society. Tickets by clicking here.
