“Connection” was inspired by pandemic restrictions, where the only outdoor activity allowed in many countries was hiking
Singer-songwriter Nissu announces the release of the video for his new song “Connection”, an upbeat and motivational song created during lockdown. The song and video highlight the power of overcoming obstacles and finding strength in our shared connections during difficult times.
“Connection” was inspired by pandemic restrictions, where the only outdoor activity allowed in many countries was walking within a 5km radius. Nissu noted how social media has become even more of a platform for sharing experiences, with many people posting selfies of their hikes. This inspired the concept of the video, which emphasizes our interconnectedness even in isolation.
In the video, Nissu takes a walk in the park and takes a selfie, transforming into another person who is also walking. This transformation continues, featuring a total of nine cameos, illustrating the bond shared through these small but meaningful moments.
“The idea was to convey the connection between all the selfies we were posting,” says Nissu. “Each transformation symbolizes the invisible bond and solidarity between us during those challenging times.”
The creation of “Connection” was a therapeutic process for Nissu, helping him navigate the difficulties of the pandemic and personal challenges. The project aims to share a message of connection, love and compassion, reminding us that even in the darkest times, there is hope.
