The program includes the lecture “Mental health and well-being in the LGBTQIA+ community”, as well as simultaneous workshops on makeup for black and light skin, hairstyles and care for different hair types, eyebrow design, and self-care and well-being techniques .
A beauty space will be set up in the penitentiary to serve the LGBTQIA+ community deprived of liberty, offering manicure and pedicure services, relaxing massage and style consultancy. The municipal coordinator of LGBTQIA+ public policies, Cláudia Rosa de Assunção Pompéu, highlights that the objective is to prepare these inmates for reintegration into society, showing work alternatives for a normal life.
The event is the result of a partnership between the Government of the State of Mato Grosso do Sul, the Municipality of Dourados and Agepen/MS (State Agency for Administration of the Penitentiary System).
