Samantha Machado establishes herself in Literature with a book of poetry on contemporary issues such as gender
Samantha Machado establishes herself in literature with the book “Sou”, bringing together her poems with a group of images from different artists, creating a unique object, seen as a performance book.
Samantha Machado’s poems deal with female sexuality and other contemporary issues, such as evasion, healing and gender issues. Extremely current discussions in a poetry that is made with everyday words, transformed into poetic material.
Produced as a collapsible object, the book presents each poem accompanied by an image produced by the author and ten other visual artists, including photographs and illustrations. Each slide carries one of the images and on the back a poem always starting with a date, creating a title for the work.
