Information about Williams’ illness, which also affects the famous actor Bruce Willis, appeared on the eve of the release of his documentary Where is Wendy Williams?
Former American TV presenter Wendy Williams has been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and aphasia. Page Six reports.
The star underwent several tests after noticing problems with his memory and began to forget words. Doctors concluded that the problems were caused by these neurodegenerative diseases.
“The decision to share this news was difficult and made after careful consideration, not only to encourage understanding and sympathy for Wendy, but also to raise awareness of aphasia and frontotemporal dementia and support thousands of thousands of other people who found themselves in the same tight circumstances,” the star’s team said in a statement.
They also noted that the celebrity is still able to do many things on her own and has retained her “trademark sense of humor.”
Wendy Williams is currently in an undisclosed hospital.
It was previously reported that Kim Kardashian complained of an exacerbation of psoriasis, a skin disease she has had since she was 25 years old.
