Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke and her mother Jennifer Clarke have received the Order of the British Empire. The Daily Mail reports this.
It is known that they received the award from the hands of Prince William at Windsor Castle for the creation of the SameYou charity, which deals with recovery from traumatic brain injuries, which they opened after the actress suffered two brain hemorrhages.
“From Westeros to Windsor. It was a pleasure to present the awards to Emilia Clarke and her mother Jennifer today for their charity SameYou, which helps people recover from brain injuries. Congratulations to all the recipients now!” – said the Prince of Wales on Instagram.
News of Clarke’s award was announced in King Charles’ New Year Honors List for December 2023, which recognizes UK citizens who have shown exemplary service or achievement in their industries.
Emilia, who played Queen Daenerys Targaryen on Game of Thrones for eight seasons from 2011 to 2019, suffered two aneurysms in 2011 and 2013.
