In February 2022, in the first days of the invasion of Russian troops on the territory of the Kyiv region, the artist volunteered for the 130th battalion.
The frontman of the group Antibodies, Taras Topolya, who went to the front as a paramedic from the first days of the mass war, said whether he is ready to return to the front line. He said this in an interview with Ti Kiev.
At the end of August 2022, by order of the then Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, the musicians were ordered to leave the front line. Now they give charity concerts and raise money for the army. However, the actress assured that she is ready to return to the front.
“Yes, I am ready if the Commander-in-Chief issues an order that the Antibodies should return to the 130th battalion. But I have openly and repeatedly said that I do not want to return there. We are doing many important things for the front outside the front ,” he said.
Taras Topolya also spoke about criticism of the group. In particular, they were accused of constant touring. They say that in this way the group allegedly promotes itself on military issues.
So the artist said that he would personally introduce all the critics to the commander of the 130th battalion.
“He will tell you how the “Antibodies” were promoted and how many times they almost died in combat missions. We are paramedics and do our military work when necessary. We carry our brothers, good that’s it, alive, wounded, but alive “We are under mortar, artillery and small arms,” concluded the singer.
It was previously reported that members of the group Antibodies are against Ukraine’s participation in the Eurovision 2024 song contest.
