Organizers of deals offered conscripts to avoid conscription based on forged documents or help draft dodgers cross the border outside checkpoints; the cost of such services is up to $10 thousand.

Security services in some regions blocked five more schemes for preventing the mobilization and illegal travel abroad of men of military age. The SBU press service reported this on Wednesday, February 21.

It is reported that the organizers of the deals offered conscripts to avoid conscription on the basis of forged documents or helped draft dodgers cross the border outside checkpoints; the cost of such services is up to $10,000.

In particular, in the Poltava region, the head of the regional military registration and enlistment office was exposed, who demanded money from the heads of businesses, including local agricultural companies, and for this promised to exclude their subordinates from conscription as critical infrastructure workers.

In Vinnitsa, two officers of the military medical commission were imprisoned who sold their clients fake certificates of “poor” health, and then used the false document to “write” out of the military register and allow them illegally to travel abroad.

The SBU recalls that at the end of August 2023, the organizer of this criminal scheme was detained. He turned out to be an employee of a local diagnostic and treatment center.

In Dnipro, law enforcement officers detained a lawyer who, for money, entered personal data of draft dodgers into the lists of charitable foundations, and then this information was submitted to the system of Shlyakh, who registers draft dodgers as drivers of international flights carrying humanitarian aid.

In Transcarpathia, three “guides” were exposed, who first took the evaders to the border river, and then showed the border water “route” and gave the fugitives wetsuits.

In the Lviv region, two men were caught, inviting potential conscripts to travel abroad to obtain the “documents” of drivers of a voluntary organization.

We remind you that on February 7, the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading a bill on strengthening mobilization in Ukraine.
