Activists occupied King Charles’ royal home demanding lower prices for food, particularly baby formula.
Activists from This Is Rigged attacked King Charles’ Holyroodhouse residence in Edinburgh as part of a campaign to lower food prices. This was reported by the Express.
The protesters sat at the royal table, then began eating food from plastic utensils and drinking tea from flasks, and unfurled banners with various slogans, including “The people are stronger than the lord.”
They are demanding that supermarkets reduce food prices, particularly baby formula, prices until March 2021, and also demand that the Government fund and implement one community feeding center for every 500 families in Scotland.
“As the many crises we face continue to intensify, it becomes increasingly clear that those in power are not saving money and are once again putting profit before people. Everything is in our hands… We have to speak up because this is our future,” said one of the activists.

We are calling on the Scottish government to meet with us to discuss implementing community food hubs in Scotland – give us a warm place to eat, or we can find anywhere… including the palace 😉 pic.twitter.com/wGaSLVWQ3H— This Is Rigged (@Thisis_Rigged) February 19, 2024
