The third general show of Ukrainian fashion brands at London Fashion Week will take place on February 17. Designers TAMAR KEBURIA, J’AMEMME and GASANOVA will present their collections as part of the UFW International Season FW24-25.
“It is a great honor for me to represent Ukraine and share the story of people affected by the war in the last two years. My collection FW24-25 Reflections is an echo of my own experiences: when I lived twice in experience of war, put my deep understanding of the fate of displaced people into each model. “Each look in the collection tells a story of resilience, depicting the many aspects of human trajectories that inter- with us. This show is more than a typical fashion show, it is an important statement about the desire for empathy in a world plagued by contradictions,” said founder and creative director of TAMAR KEBURIA, Tamriko Keburia .
“In the conditions of modern reality in Ukraine, life is becoming difficult, especially for creative people. Participation in fashion week is our spokesperson, our way of telling the world that Ukrainians, especially those Ukrainian woman, will not quietly follow what is happening. . The woman with pepper is the heroine of our collection, stronger than before. She does not want to feel sorry for herself, but is ready to receive support. Just like Ukraine,” said by the founder and creative director of GASANOVA, Elvira Damirov.
“Our collection is a visual ode to the beauty and diversity of nature, represented through the prism of art. It depicts the special connection between the act of human creation and the environment. We describe it through color contrasts and shapes, inspired by the works of Ukrainian illustrator Okhrim Sudomora, whose works show the world of mycelium “The use of innovative pleating techniques makes it possible to create expressive architectural forms that reflect the close connection of the collection’s images with nature,” says J’AMEMME founder and creative director Yulia Yarmolyuk.
By the way, at the beginning of a full-scale invasion, when Ukrainian fashion brands lost the opportunity to present their collections in Ukraine, Ukrainian Fashion Week announced the Support Ukrainian Fashion Initiative.
