Fellini’s muse and Italian cinema icon Sandra Milo has died aged 90 at her home in Rome.

“Our mother passed away at 8:25 this morning. She left us peacefully, sleeping in her bed as she had requested, surrounded by our love and the love of her beloved dogs Jim and Lady. We ask that you honor our great pain and pray for his soul, sending him bright thoughts,” the message said.
It should be remembered that Sandra Milo, nee Salvatrice Elena Greco, was born in Tunisia on March 11, 1933.
Her debut film role was the role of Gabriella in the comedy Bachelor 1955 directed by Antonio Pietrangeli.
The actress rose to fame for her role as a prostitute in Roberto Rossellini’s drama General Della Rovere (1959).
The highlight of Milo’s career was his meeting with Federico Fellini. The Italian director hired him in his films Eight and a half (1963) and Juliet and the perfume (1965).
In total, during her career, the actress played almost 70 roles in the films of many Italian directors.
