Sarah Ferguson was diagnosed with malignant melanoma just months after being treated for breast cancer.
Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson has been diagnosed with skin cancer. He had several moles, one of which turned out to be malignant. The Daily Mail reported this.
It comes after the 64-year-old royal underwent breast surgery last year, which insiders say has been a “difficult time” for her.
However, a spokesman for the Duchess of York said she was in good spirits despite the circumstances.
Doctors hope the cancer was caught early and she won’t have any more problems, but she will undergo further tests to determine if it has spread.
“After being diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer this summer, Sarah, Duchess of York, has now been diagnosed with malignant melanoma. Her dermatologist requested that several moles be removed and examined in conjunction with reconstructive surgery after mastectomy, and one. of them was identified as cancerous. “He is undergoing further investigation to ensure that it is caught in the early stages. “Obviously, another diagnosis coming so soon after breast cancer treatment is cause for concern, but the Duchess remains in good spirits,” Sarah Ferguson’s spokesperson said.
Melanoma is a type of skin cancer that can spread to other parts of the body, mainly due to exposure to ultraviolet light from the sun or tanning beds.
People with paler skin, more moles, and a family history of skin cancer are likely to be at greater risk of developing the disease.
It was previously reported that actress Nicole Eggert admitted that she is fighting breast cancer.
